What is NASCAR in 2022?

The NASCAR Cup Series is a professional stock car racing series sanctioned by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR).

The series began in 1949 as the Strictly Stock Division and was renamed the Grand National Division in 1950 and then the Winston Cup Grand National Division in 1971.
