Jack Doohan has hailed his decision to leave Red Bull for Alpine as the "best" of his career so far. The Australian had previously been a member of the Red Bull Junior Team since 2017, but opted to make the move to the Alpine Academy ahead of the 2022 season. Since then, Doohan – who finished P6 in this year's Formula 2 championship, in which he competed for the Virtuosi Racing squad – has been given two Free Practice 1 drives for the Alpine F1 team, as well as getting behind the wheel at the Abu Dhabi post-season test.
